Return/Exchange and Cancellation Policy

We have listed everything below about our return, cancellation and refund policy to avoid even a bit of a problem. We accept returns & exchanges in the USA and India. For other countries, We handle on a case-by-case basis with the ultimate goal of making our customers happy.

What is the time limit to claim returns?

Trendia’s Policy gives you an option to return or exchange most products purchased on the Trendia global store for any reason within 30 days from the date of delivery.

Please read through few critical points regarding the Return and Refunds:

  1. Returns and Refunds are only accepted in case of a significant manufacturing defect. For example, thread pulls are not considered as defective in handloom clothing. No exchange No Returns because of dislike of colours or patterns or fabric quality.  At times the image colour may vary due to digital photography and light adjustment.
  2. 360-degree Unboxing video is a must when you receive the package in case of return due to a defect. Pictures won’t be accepted. To capture the video first, you need to show the address side of the package, turn around and show all four sides. Avoid using any sharp objects to open the packet.

How to return/exchange the product?

We request that you create an account to return an item. If you do not have an account, please create one using the email associated with your order. Once you have an account created, please log in and go to Account > Orders & Returns > Return or Replace Items. Once you have requested a return, our team will go through it and send approval based on our return policy. After which, we will send you a return shipping label.

Please allow up to 3 business days for it to accept. Once the request has been generated, there are two ways to return the product to us:

  1. Pick up: We will send a free return shipping label to your address. you will have to pack the item/s in the original condition received and handover to the courier assigned for collection.
  2. Self-ship: You may also courier the product to us at our registered address: 309 W New Indian Trail Ct, Aurora, IL, USA, 60506.

Customers will receive a full refund on the returned product both ways, or you can also request for coupon code worth the product amount that you could use on future purchases from You will receive an email confirmation once your refund or exchange has been completed. Once you receive a refund notification, the refund will show on your card in 24-48 hours.

Note: If we do not receive the return, we cannot process a refund or exchange unless you can provide proof of shipment and receipt through the label's tracking numbers. In cases where we have not received a returned order, if tracking information does not show the item as sent, we will ask that you file a claim with the carrier for a lost package before we can process a refund or exchange.

The following EXCEPTION is applied to this Policy:

  1. All customised products (which have been made to a customer’s size/measurements) are non-returnable. 
  2. All food items, Lingerie and perfumes cannot be exchanged or returned. We refund in exceptional circumstances.

Make sure these criteria are met before you apply. We hold the right to refuse items that do not meet these standards:

  1. All items must be returned in their original condition with all original tags and packaging intact (e.g. shoes must be packed in the original shoe box).
  2. All items must be unused, unworn, unwashed, undamaged. All garments and shoes should be tried only on carpeted surfaces.
  3. For size-related returns. Please measure the clothing with a measuring tape and share the images with us. Then, we will cross-check against the product size chart and proceed with return/exchange accordingly.


  1. We only ask that you preserve its original condition, tags, and packaging. You are welcome to try on a product, but please take adequate measures to maintain its shape.
  2. A product is not considered ‘faulty’ if there is a slight colour variation between the image on the website and the actual product.

How Long Does It Take for My Return to Process?

We guarantee free returns on most items. Please expect transit times of 5-7 business days. Once we have received your return, please allow up to 3 business days for it to be processed. You will receive an email confirmation once your refund or exchange has been completed. Once you receive a refund notification, the refund will show on your credit card in 24-48 hours.

Shipping for Made to Order Items:

Standard shipping is always free for the USA and India. All made-to-order shipments above $100 require a signature upon delivery. We do not ship "Made to Order" items to PO Boxes, APO or FPO addresses. Items marked as "Made to Order" will arrive at you in 15-20 business days.

How to cancel my order if I change my mind after placing the order?

You can choose to cancel all Non-Ready to Ship products only if done within 24 hours of placing them. After that, we will initiate a 100% refund of your money, and a confirmation of the same will be sent to you via email.

How to partially/entirely cancel the order or edit the order?

  1. If you want to edit the order on the same day of placing the order, then before 8 am IST, Go to the “my orders” page from your account. And select the order you want to cancel and click on the cancel button.
  2. In all other cases, chat with us on messenger or call us +1 312-392-0189 or email us at our customer service will help you cancel the order. That is because our orders go into fulfilment every day at 8 AM IST, after which you can't edit the order.
  3. Once an order has been processed or shipped, it cannot be edited. If your order has already been processed, you'll be covered under our Return Policy.

Customers will receive a full refund on the cancelled product either way, or you can also request for coupon code worth the product amount that you could use on future purchases from

Why a "24 Hour" deadline?

As soon as your order is confirmed, action is initiated at our end. The process of picking, packaging, customising, and logistics starts, and the ordered product has already passed through a couple of phases in most cases. In case a garment has to be readied or customised, the process is already underway.

Please be apprised that Ready To Ship orders are not eligible for cancellations as they are dispatched within 24 hours of the receipt of the order.

And what if I cancel after 24 hours of ordering?

1) Well, we have a provision for that too but do remember - orders cancelled post 24 hours of confirmation are dealt with on a case-to-case basis by our Customer Care team depending on the degree of process completion.

2) We provide a refund for all such orders in the form of a Store Credit only. This Store Credit is redeemable on our Website within a stipulated period from the time of issuance.

3) Please be apprised that it takes a maximum of 2 business days, post the receipt of your cancellation request, for us to cancel your order, and send you a notification via email.

But if I am unable to find an alternative Ethnic Fashion Statement?

In such cases, we ensure that a complete refund (inclusive of the product cost and shipping charges) is initiated at the earliest sans any deductions. We also offer compensation through Store Credit or discount coupons depending upon the order value and delay in communication.

Could there be a delay at Trendia Global because of "unforeseen circumstances"?

We try our best to ensure that your ordered products are shipped out to you in the promised time. Still, there are chances of delay in processing due to unavailability of stock or other unavoidable circumstances. In such a situation, we will send you a formal communication requesting you to :

  1. a) Accept a Store Credit of equivalent value, which you may use to purchase an alternate Ethnic Fashion Statement
  2. b) Opt to receive a refund of your money.

Oops! I "missed" adding a critical detail while placing the order. Possibility of correcting it?

No worries. Such situations are often encountered when customers forget to :

1) Update their complete shipping details

2) Update measurement attributes

3) Verify or give their consent if required on certain pending notifications within the requested time

As a policy, we try to reach out to our esteemed customers via their registered e-mail addresses. In case of non-receipt of any response, we try to give them a call. If we do not answer in 15 days, we issue a Non-refundable Store Credit against the cancellation of the order, which the customers can use to place future orders with us. We share an update on the same via email as well. 

Remember, we try to keep our customers posted at every stage of their order with us, and it helps to have your inputs at the right time.

Is your package marked as delivered, but you cannot find it?

  1. Please wait 48 hours before contacting customer service. A carrier keeps a package delivered prematurely in most cases, and the package will arrive within 48 hours. 
  2. In some cases, the package was delivered to a neighbour or placed in a different mailbox. If you can, please ask your neighbours if they have seen the package before contacting customer service. 
  3. If you still haven't found the package, please call us on +1 312-392-0189.

Please report all packages as missing or lost within one week of the expected delivery date. You can write a box as missing by emailing customer service at If a package is reported as missing > 1 week after the expected delivery date, you will be asked to file a claim with the postal carrier, and we cannot guarantee a replacement.

What does Ready To Ship mean?

‘Ready to Ship’ means that we can dispatch a product within two days and deliver it within six working days. You can explore our ‘Ready to Ship’ collection by going to our website's menu.

What are the steps of returning any item ordered from Trendia Global?

1 - Informing Trendia Global

If you have any complaints regarding the product you have received, please ensure that you report it to us within 48 hours of receiving the product. 

2 - Confirmation email from Trendia Global

You will receive an acknowledgement email confirming a Return Authorization within 2-3 business days. Please do not ship items before you receive this email from us. We will be unable to process any "Items Returned" without the Return Authorization Reference.

Please note: In case needed, we'd request a digital picture of the item for our internal review to process your request.

3 - Shipping Back the Items

When Shipping back the items: 

  • As would be advised in our return authorisation email, please send the items to us preferably through a reputed, registered courier/airmail service only to avoid any transit-related issues. 
  • Please try and ensure that you retain all the packaging material along with the product. Do not remove tags, stickers, etc. Unless you are sure you want to keep the product. The presence of original tags is a must to process returns.
  • Please do not forget to mark the packaging as "Defective Items for Returns" and "not for sale".

4 - Item Receipt and Inspection at Trendia Global Warehouse

Our teams shall examine the products on return as a policy and identify the defects/variations as indicated by you.

5 - Proposed solutions post receipt of returned items

Post-inspection of the returned item(s), our Customer Care team will propose remedial solutions to you on a case to case basis:

  • Choosing an alternate item as a replacement of equal value.
  • Store Credit/Coupon Code to be used later for shopping on Trendia Global.
  • Refund as decided on a case to case basis.

What will be my options if there was an error by Trendia Global?

We will duly acknowledge the issue, and you would always be welcome to decide from proceeding with:

  1. An Item Replacement
  2. Issuance of a Store Credit
  3. A Refund of order value

Do I have to pay the courier service for shipping the item back?

If we end up making an error despite best efforts, the extra shipping cost incurred during the return of the product will be refunded. In any other case, the Shipping Charges and other expenses would be borne by you.

How long does it usually take for Returned Items to reach back to the Trendia Global Warehouse?

International shipments usually take between 6 to 8 weeks in transit if done through the postal service. Any shipment returned within India takes 3-4 days to reach if sent through DTDC. The exact time taken for transit would depend on the nature of the product and your location.
